Life at Emmerton House
Since the 1880s, the Society's mission continues with a focus on providing a transitional living environment for women - for a term of up to five years - who are in school and/or working.
Emmerton House provides a safe, comfortable place to live in the heart of downtown Salem. Residents rent single-occupancy rooms in an 1811 historic house for a reduced weekly rent. Amenities include:

Onsite laundry machines (quarters)
Security cameras in common areas and front door
Bathrooms on each floor
Emmerton House is maintained through rents, donations, membership fees, grants, and the Society's endowment.

The information you provide will be used to determine eligibility and qualification for residency at Emmerton House. By signing this application, you authorize the Woman's Friend Society to verify all information included herein. Misrepresentation of information may result in denial of application or termination of residency.
