Join us at the Hawthorne Hotel for the Annual Meeting of the Woman’s Friend’s Society for updates on the Emmerton House.
Come hear from guest speaker Beverly Cooper Pierce. Beverly has been an academic librarian, registered nurse in holistic care, family historian, and writer, strands all braided into her magical-realist historical novel, The Rowans.
Growing up in Salem, she had no idea that John and Elizabeth Proctor, both convicted of witchcraft, were her father’s sixth great-grandparents, or that some of the oldest houses in towns along the coast held stories of his family.
After living in Minnesota many years, bringing two sons into the next generation, she now lives and writes on Cape Ann, at work on a sequel set in Maine.
